Solution Engineer – Power Transmission Insulators

About the role

We are seeking a Solution Engineer to deliver technical product support for line insulators, post insulators, composite insulators and related equipment across the region. The role blends engineering design, customer interfacing, certification activities and sales support within the power transmission and distribution sector.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support for line insulators, line post, braced line post, distribution CICA, substation post insulators and insulated frames.
• Develop and execute homologation plans while meeting regional sales targets.
• Attend technical meetings with utilities, present product value and act as the technical interface between customers and the factory.
• Prepare 2‑D drawings, complete technical data sheets and handle specification revisions, frame contracts and auction processes.
• Participate in customer factory audits, visits and laboratory testing as required.
• Support internal R&D, technical and quality projects.
• Represent the company in technical organisations such as IEC and CIGRE and support regional exhibitions.
• Perform any additional tasks assigned by headquarters.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (electrical or mechanical preferred).
• Fluent in English and Arabic.
• Minimum 3 years of experience designing and developing insulator products for power transmission and distribution.
• Proven experience in customer qualification, certification and technical meetings with utilities.
• Strong understanding of the power transmission industry, including line design and insulator string products.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.

Required skills

• Finite element analysis (FEA) software.
• 3D CAD software (and 2‑D drafting).
• Preparation of technical data sheets and product specifications.
• Knowledge of IEC standards (e.g., IEC 61109, IEC 61952, IEC 62217) and equivalent ANSI standards.
• Product cost analysis and commercial information handling.
• Transmission line design and composite insulator product design.
