Telecommunication Designer Trainee

About the role

Worley is seeking a Telecommunication Designer Trainee to support the creation of telecom design deliverables across its projects. The role offers hands‑on experience with system layouts, cable routing, and equipment schematics while working alongside multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Support preparation of telecommunications drawings and deliverables such as system layouts, cable routing and network diagrams, and equipment schematics.
• Assist in reviewing technical documents, datasheets, and vendor drawings for telecom systems.
• Learn and apply telecommunications standards and project specifications (e.g., ITU, TIA/EIA, IEC).
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (electrical, instrumentation, IT, CSA) for system integration.
• Participate in design reviews and technical discussions.
• Maintain accurate documentation and engineering records.
• Ensure compliance with HSE and quality standards.

Required profile

• Diploma in Telecommunications, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering.
• Basic understanding of telecom systems such as fiber optics, structured cabling, and communication networks.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD or other engineering/design software (preferred).
