Academic Administrative Officer

About the role

The Academic Administrative Officer serves as the first point of contact for callers and visitors, providing essential administrative support to the school office team. The role prioritises student safeguarding and well‑being while delivering excellent customer service in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Answer incoming telephone calls courteously and direct them to the appropriate staff.
• Greet visitors, provide information and assistance, and manage the front‑desk areas (majlis, parents café, nannies café).
• Implement emergency and evacuation procedures and support the school nurse with medical evacuations.
• Liaise with Security and Facilities Management to coordinate events, arrivals, dismissals and refreshments.
• Maintain health and safety compliance and support the designated safeguarding lead.
• Perform administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, scheduling appointments and managing attendance records on ISAMS.
• Enter and update information in the Noor system and provide general office support.
• Undertake additional duties as directed by the line manager.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree (essential).
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar administrative role.
• Fluency in spoken English and Arabic.
• Strong organisational, planning and prioritisation abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and build effective working relationships.
• Experience engaging with parents and the school community.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Proficiency with Google Suite.
• Data analysis skills.
• Experience using ISAMS.
• Experience using the Noor system.
