Accountant Officer – Finance Department

About the role

The Trade Bank of Iraq is looking for a motivated Accountant Officer to join its Saudi Arabia Branch finance team in Riyadh. The role focuses on accurate daily accounting, reconciliations, and support for month‑end and year‑end closing in a highly regulated banking environment.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily accounting entries in the general ledger in line with the approved chart of accounts.
• Perform reconciliations of general ledger, suspense, nostro and inter‑branch accounts.
• Process supplier invoices, staff expense claims and payment requests with proper documentation.
• Maintain the fixed asset register, including additions, disposals, depreciation and physical verification.
• Prepare accruals, pre‑payments, provisions and other month‑end adjusting entries.
• Support the preparation of financial statements under IFRS and regulatory returns to SAMA.
• Assist with VAT, withholding tax and Zakat filings and maintain related schedules.
• Provide data for budgets, forecasts, variance analysis and audit examinations.
