Accountant – Riyadh

About the role

Advanced United Systems Ltd. (AUS) is seeking a qualified, detail‑oriented Accountant to join its Riyadh office. You will be responsible for managing day‑to‑day accounting activities and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations within its EPC contracting and infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Record journal entries, maintain general ledgers, and reconcile bank and account balances.
• Prepare invoices, process payments, and manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end closings, budget preparation, financial reporting, and cash‑flow tracking.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, ZATCA, VAT regulations, and support internal and external audit requests.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

Required profile

• Saudi national with a minimum of 3 years of accounting experience in the industrial sector; EPC contracting experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; professional certification (SOCPA, CPA, ACCA) is a plus.
• Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and capacity to meet multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Effective written and verbal communication in English; Arabic is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, basic financial models).
