Accounting Manager

About the role

The Accounting Manager leads the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring compliance with accounting and audit standards while overseeing all core financial functions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full spectrum of accounting activities, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Treasury, and General Ledger.
• Verify, approve, and post invoices, vendor payments, and employee advances in the accounting system.
• Coordinate with internal auditors and provide required documentation within deadlines.
• Handle client inquiries related to receivables and ensure timely resolution.
• Oversee government and tax payments such as VAT and withholding tax, adhering to authority matrices.
• Lead monthly and year‑end closing processes, including trial balance analysis and accrual entries.
• Prepare costing for client proposals, review contract pricing, and ensure cost structures are up to date.
• Evaluate internal control procedures, identify gaps, and implement improvements.
• Support the Finance Director with ad‑hoc tasks and provide guidance to accounting staff across all functions.
