Accounting Manager

About the role

The Accounting Manager is responsible for establishing the organization’s financial status by developing and implementing robust systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information. This role ensures that financial reports are current, accurate, and compliant with applicable standards, while providing regular updates to senior management and preparing the annual budget proposal.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial data.
• Manage and oversee daily operations of the accounting department, including staff supervision.
• Contribute accounting information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews.
• Forecast financial requirements, prepare the annual budget, schedule expenditures, analyze variances, and initiate corrective actions.
• Monitor revenue and expenses, consolidate financial data, and prepare special reports for management.
• Research and interpret accounting policies, providing guidance to other departments.
• Establish internal controls to maintain financial security.
• Create and maintain a chart of accounts, defining accounting policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Proven experience establishing internal controls and financial security measures.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain a chart of accounts and accounting policies.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards and compliance requirements.
• Experience managing accounting staff and overseeing daily department operations.
