AFR Operations Specialist

About the role

The AFR Operations Specialist will be the first point of contact for customers, handling shipment information, incident management, pricing, and claims. Based in Dammam, you will support DHL Global Forwarding’s mission to connect people worldwide through reliable freight services.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary customer contact for shipment queries, incident/complaint handling, ad‑hoc pricing and claims.
• Capture correct costs and revenues, resolve simple and complex billing issues.
• Manage shipment‑level activities: booking receipt, documentation, and coordination of local and international transport.
• Track, record and analyse operational exceptions, ensuring high data quality and regulatory compliance.
• Route and assign shipments to optimal consolidations to meet service commitments and maximise profit.
• Identify critical shipments requiring extra support and provide hyper‑care.
• Prepare invoices, debit/credit notes and supporting documents, ensuring timely and accurate customer billing.
• Investigate invoice disputes, resolve supplier performance issues and suggest process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• More than 4 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding or related operations.
