Analyst - Planning & Optimization

About the role

The Analyst – Planning & Optimization provides analytical and operational support for the optimization of petrochemical and polymer feedstock streams, as well as the planning and scheduling of product lines. The role prepares production planning inputs, develops schedules, performs mass‑balance analysis and supplies data for commercial and operational decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare short‑ to medium‑term production plans that balance demand, plant capacity, inventory and maintenance constraints.
• Develop and issue weekly and monthly production schedules for assigned product families.
• Track schedule execution, identify deviations and recommend corrective actions.
• Generate scenario and “what‑if” analyses to support planning reviews.
• Collect, validate and input data for feedstock optimization and mass‑balance models.
• Perform preliminary feedstock allocation studies, including swaps and alternative sourcing.
• Update mass‑balance calculations and validate results.
• Consolidate economics and margin figures for feedstock evaluation.
• Create dashboards, tables and KPIs from operational, supply and demand data.
• Prepare regular reports on feedstock utilization, production plans, inventories and capacity usage.
• Coordinate with operations, logistics, sales and business development to gather data and clarify assumptions.
• Support S&OP and ES&OP meetings to align production capabilities with commercial demand.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or feedstock optimization within the petrochemical industry.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
• Excellent communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
