Arabic as a Second Language Teacher (Temporary)

About the role

This temporary position is for an Arabic as a Second Language Teacher who will deliver high‑quality instruction in line with the Misk curriculum and local requirements. The teacher will create a safe, stimulating learning environment while prioritising student safeguarding and well‑being.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver lesson schemes that meet curriculum standards.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance and statutory documentation.
• Produce grades and reports according to the school calendar.
• Conduct termly parent interviews to discuss student performance.
• Supervise registration, morning parade, playtime and dismissal as required.
• Provide pastoral support and monitor the physical and emotional welfare of pupils.
• Implement safeguarding, health and safety, and emergency procedures.
• Collaborate with school nurses, counsellors and other staff.

Required profile

• Strong expertise in Arabic language and its pedagogy.
• Commitment to student safety, safeguarding and well‑being.
• Ability to follow school policies and statutory regulations.
• Excellent communication skills with students, parents and staff.
• Capacity to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learner needs.
