Architect Lead – Retail & Advertising

About the role

Parsons is seeking an experienced Architect Lead to support commercial strategies for retail and advertising spaces within the Riyadh Metro extension. The role involves reviewing designs, ensuring compliance with contract requirements, and acting as the primary interface with the client.

Key responsibilities

• Provide consultancy on retail areas, internal/external advertising, click‑and‑collect zones, and ATMs.
• Review retail area designs, verify proper connection sizing, and confirm fit‑for‑purpose compliance.
• Assess advertising schemes, ensure appropriate elements are used, and manage distribution of advertising assets.
• Support spatial planning, design review, and layout optimisation for all retail and advertising zones.
• Serve as the main point of contact with the client for all listed items.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Real Estate Development, Commercial Management or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in retail development, mall management or commercial asset optimisation, preferably within metro, rail, airport or major transit hubs.
• Strong understanding of lease management frameworks, concession contracts and revenue‑share models.
• Proven track record working with major commercial developers or as an owner’s representative for shopping malls or lifestyle centres.
• Excellent stakeholder management, commercial negotiation and technical report‑writing abilities.
