Architect of Record (AOR) – Riyadh

About the role

We are supporting an international multidisciplinary consultancy that seeks an Architect of Record (AOR) to join its Riyadh team. The role focuses on ensuring architectural designs comply with Saudi regulations, managing authority submissions, and acting as the technical liaison between design teams, clients and Saudi authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Act as Architect of Record for major projects across Saudi Arabia.
• Review architectural designs and documentation for compliance with the Saudi Building Code and municipal requirements.
• Prepare AOR reports throughout design stages and manage authority submissions, permits and approvals.
• Liaise directly with municipalities, regulatory bodies and government entities.
• Coordinate with structural, MEP and other engineering disciplines to ensure technical and regulatory compliance.
• Provide technical guidance to project and design teams and support proposal, pre‑qualification and tender activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
• Minimum 6 years of architectural experience, preferably within Saudi Arabia.
• Registered/licensed to practice in Saudi Arabia with accreditation to undertake AOR responsibilities.
• Demonstrated experience with authority submissions and regulatory approvals.
• Strong communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus.
