Architectural Fit-Out Engineer

About the role

The Architectural Fit-Out Engineer will lead the design, planning, and execution of interior fit‑out projects for commercial, residential, and retail environments. You will act as the liaison between architects, interior designers, MEP engineers, and contractors to ensure that every space meets the intended design, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Review architectural, shop, and material drawings for compliance with design intent and specifications.
• Coordinate fit‑out activities with architects, interior designers, MEP engineers, and contractors.
• Supervise on‑site installation of partitions, ceilings, flooring, joinery, finishes, and furniture.
• Prepare work schedules, procurement lists, and manpower allocations.
• Monitor progress to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
• Conduct inspections, compile snag lists, and oversee rectifications before handover.
• Resolve technical issues on site and provide guidance to contractors.
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors for timely delivery of materials.
• Enforce safety, health, and environmental guidelines.
• Produce progress reports and documentation for management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Interior Architecture or a related field.
• 3–7 years of proven experience in architectural fit‑out projects (commercial, hospitality, residential or retail).
• Strong knowledge of fit‑out materials, finishes and construction techniques.
• Familiarity with building codes, fire safety regulations and quality standards.
