Armament Technician – Typhoon Aircraft Maintenance (Saudi Arabia)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Armament Technician to lead scheduled weapons maintenance on RSAF Typhoon aircraft in Taif, Saudi Arabia. The role is contract‑based (12‑18 months) and offers a competitive daily rate with accommodation and travel support.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled disassembly, cleaning, inspection and minor rectification of Typhoon weapons systems.
• Supervise personnel and ensure compliance with RSAF/DA technical publications, M&CA mandates and SMU QMS.
• Raise and conduct independent, vital and mandatory inspections as required.
• Carry out daily inspections to maintain the programmed maintenance schedule.
• Support work‑environment, housekeeping, cleanliness and FOD control checks.
• Complete SMU forms, aircraft records and maintenance documentation accurately.
• Assist QA investigations and report training or experience gaps to the Team Leader.

Required profile

• Recognised aircraft engineering apprenticeship or NVQ/C&G Level 3 (or equivalent) and/or Part 66 licence.
• Minimum 7 years post‑qualification experience in operational aircraft maintenance (or 3 years on Typhoon type).
• Relevant Typhoon type‑training, Q‑course and equipment‑specific training.
• Current authorisations for the tasks performed.
• Fluent English communication skills.

What we offer

• £315 per day (£315 × 48 hours/week) on a 12‑18 month fixed‑term contract.
