Assistant Boat Captain (Dive Center)

About the role

The Assistant Boat Captain supports the safe and efficient operation of dive centre vessels at Red Sea Sports & Entertainment. Working closely with the Boat Captain, this site‑based role ensures vessels are ready, guests receive a premium experience, and all marine assets are maintained to the highest standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Boat Captain with navigation, mooring, anchoring, docking and overall vessel handling.
• Prepare vessels daily, ensuring safety compliance, cleanliness and presentation standards.
• Support dive centre operations, including cylinder handling, equipment loading/unloading and organisation.
• Facilitate safe embarkation and disembarkation of guests and manage diver drop‑offs and pick‑ups.
• Monitor onboard safety conditions, report risks and conduct routine checks on safety equipment.
• Maintain vessel logs, checklists and daily operational records.
• Contribute to a professional onboard environment for guests and crew.

Required profile

• Ability to work closely with the Boat Captain and follow direction.
• Strong focus on safety, guest experience and vessel readiness.
• Willingness to learn local navigation routes, dive sites and marine conditions.
• Physical capability to handle equipment and perform vessel maintenance tasks.
