Assistant Commercial Manager – Quantity Surveyor

About the role

Egis is looking for a detail‑oriented Assistant Commercial Manager – Quantity Surveyor to join its Project Management Consulting team in AlUla, Saudi Arabia. You will support commercial and contractual activities throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring cost efficiency and contract compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse cost estimates, bills of quantities and tender documentation during pre‑contract phases.
• Review contractor submissions, quotations and proposals for commercial viability.
• Assist with contract administration, including change order management, claims processing and compliance monitoring.
• Track project costs against approved budgets, identify variances and recommend corrective actions.
• Produce commercial reports, cost analyses and financial summaries for stakeholders.
• Support procurement by analysing supplier proposals and negotiating commercial terms.
• Maintain organised documentation for contracts, agreements and commercial correspondence.
• Conduct quantity surveys and measurements to verify work completion and support payment certifications.
• Help resolve commercial disputes and claims through thorough documentation and analysis.
• Collaborate with project teams to align technical requirements with commercial objectives and assist in financial forecasting and cash‑flow projections.

Required profile

• Proven experience in quantity surveying, cost estimation or related commercial functions.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively with senior management, contractors and stakeholders.
