Associate Director - Commercial

About the role

The Associate Director – Commercial will lead Botanica Red Sea’s commercial function, driving profitable revenue across plant supply, nursery services, horticultural products and landscape maintenance. Reporting to senior leadership, the role ensures all client commitments are deliverable and margin‑positive.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a 3‑5 year commercial strategy and annual revenue plan aligned with group priorities.
• Lead market research, pricing architecture, and competitor benchmarking to identify new segments.
• Build and manage the opportunity pipeline for internal RSG clients and external developers, overseeing bid strategy and tender preparation.
• Own key account relationships, negotiate contracts, manage variations, and conduct client satisfaction surveys.
• Ensure accurate invoicing, collections, and monthly reporting of sales, revenue and margin.
• Direct marketing initiatives, catalogue management and visitor experiences to position Botanica as a trusted sustainable supplier.
• Build and lead the commercial team, set KPIs, and ensure compliance with Saudization and anti‑bribery policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Horticulture or Landscape Architecture; MBA preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of commercial, business development or contracts experience, with at least 7 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven track record of winning multi‑year contracts above SAR 20M in landscaping, facility management, nursery or hospitality services.
• Experience with large‑scale Saudi developments and government or hotel operator clients.

Required skills

• Contract negotiation and pricing model development (unit rate, lump sum, cost‑plus).
• Financial analysis including margin analysis, cash‑flow impact and forecasting.
• CRM systems and pipeline governance.
• Executive‑level communication and presentation in English (Arabic strongly preferred).
