Associate Fire & Life Safety Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an Associate Fire & Life Safety Engineer to lead the delivery of fire and life‑safety consultancy services across a portfolio of projects in the Middle East. The role combines technical leadership, project management and client liaison to ensure safe, compliant and resilient building designs.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and approve fire‑ and life‑safety strategies, reports and construction drawings.
• Manage FLS projects from concept through construction, monitoring quality, budget and schedule.
• Coordinate with clients, design teams and approving authorities, representing the company in meetings and workshops.
• Lead performance‑based fire‑engineering studies, including smoke modelling and evacuation analysis.
• Mentor junior engineers and conduct technical reviews.
• Support business development by contributing to proposals, fee estimates and client presentations.
• Ensure compliance with local and international codes and internal QA/QC procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Fire Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 10 years of fire‑ and life‑safety consultancy experience.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA, IBC, IFC, UAE Fire Code and Saudi Building Code.
• Experience with performance‑based fire engineering and authority approvals in the Middle East is desirable.
