Business Data Analyst

About the role

The Business Data Analyst will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and data experts, turning business requirements into data‑driven insights that support strategic and operational decisions. Working at a senior level, you will lead analytical projects independently and collaborate with cross‑functional teams across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and translate business requirements into analytical specifications.
• Design, develop and maintain interactive dashboards using Tableau, Power BI or Looker.
• Extract, clean and manipulate data from multiple sources using SQL.
• Perform advanced Excel modelling, including pivot tables, complex formulas and scenario analysis.
• Conduct statistical analysis and build predictive models with Python or R.
• Present findings and actionable recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
• Ensure data quality and consistency throughout the analytical lifecycle.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a data analyst at a senior or managerial level.
• Strong business acumen and ability to understand complex business processes.
• Excellent communication skills to convey technical insights to non‑technical audiences.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas, scenario modelling).
• SQL for data retrieval and manipulation.
• Data‑visualisation tools: Tableau, Power BI, Looker.
• Programming languages: Python or R.
