Buyer – Procurement Role

About the role

Air Products is seeking a Buyer to support its operations in Jubail. Reporting to the Senior Buyer, you will act as the purchasing agent, negotiator and deal‑maker for products and services required for everyday plant operations. The role involves evaluating suppliers, conducting vendor interviews and plant visits, and ensuring compliance with contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Develop purchasing strategies and monitor buying trends to keep the business profitable.
• Research available products, compare quality, price and delivery, and select optimal suppliers.
• Negotiate policies, contracts and terms with suppliers and manage deliveries to ensure compliance.
• Monitor stock levels, verify purchase requisitions and maintain detailed records and reports.
• Visit supplier plants and conduct vendor interviews to stay informed about industry changes.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of purchasing, logistics or commercial experience.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or a diploma in Business, Engineering or technical disciplines.
• Proficiency in English (reading and writing).
• Knowledge of SAP ERP system.
• Familiarity with Saudi market vendors and suppliers.
