Chief Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Chief Accountant to lead our finance function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, tax compliance and effective cash management. The role works closely with the Finance Director and CFO to support strategic decision‑making and maintain robust accounting processes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and validate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in line with accounting standards.
• Oversee tax declarations, liaise with advisors and ensure timely compliance with local regulations.
• Monitor bank accounts, perform reconciliations, manage fund transfers and forecast cash flow.
• Supervise daily accounting operations, guide accountants and drive process improvements.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide accurate financial data and support finance‑related tasks assigned by the Finance Director.
• Cover accounting responsibilities of team members during their leave and perform any tasks delegated by the CFO.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably in a senior role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Excellent command of English and Arabic.
• Strong knowledge of banking operations and cash‑flow management.
• Proven ability to supervise and develop accounting staff.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
