Chief Accountant

About the role

Jana International is hiring an experienced and qualified Chief Accountant for its team in Saudi Arabia. The position is full-time, with a salary of SAR 7,000 to 8,000 per month.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations and financial transactions.
• Prepare and review financial statements, balance sheets and financial reports.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable and the general ledger.
• Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities.
• Monitor cash flow, budgets and financial performance.
• Ensure compliance with Saudi accounting regulations, VAT and ZATCA requirements.
• Coordinate with auditors, banks and relevant government authorities.
• Supervise and guide the accounting team.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Previous work experience in Saudi Arabia (KSA) is mandatory; only candidates with Saudi accounting experience will be considered.
• Experience as a Chief Accountant or Senior Accountant is preferred.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Saudi VAT, ZATCA regulations and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
• Strong knowledge of MS Excel.
• Analytical, organizational and leadership skills.
