Claims Representative

About the role

This role sits at the heart of Cigna's claims processing operation in the Middle East. Claims come from both members and providers, and the holder organizes and tracks the workflow daily so that turnaround times and other key success factors are met. Queries from in-house and external sources are answered, freeing the Claims Team to focus on its daily targets.

Key responsibilities

• Receive submitted claim batches from providers and individual claims directly from members
• Log and file claims for tracking, planning and processing
• Scan and image hard-copy claims
• Plan operations, compile processing schedules and assemble batches, assigning them to team members
• Accept finalized claims and update their status in systems and trackers
• Contact providers and members to obtain additional information needed to finalize claims
• Resolve inbound queries from providers and members, aiming for first-time resolution
• Produce regular claims status reports as specified

Required profile

• 1 year of experience in a similar role combining administration and stakeholder contact
• Experience with an international company preferred but not essential
• Previous claims or insurance experience preferred but not essential
• Broad awareness of medical terminology is advantageous
• Strong organization, administration awareness and excellent written and verbal communication
• Able to work independently or in a team, manage tight deadlines and adapt to a fast-paced environment
