Commis 2 – Kitchen Assistant (Full‑Time)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Commis 2 to join our culinary team at a Marriott property on Ummahat Islands, Red Sea. The role involves supporting chefs in preparing high‑quality dishes while maintaining safety and hygiene standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients: portion, chop, wash, peel, weigh, measure and mix.
• Cook and assemble dishes according to recipes, quality and presentation standards.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers.
• Monitor food quality, test doneness and ensure correct temperatures.
• Set‑up and break down work stations, serve food in proper portions.
• Clean and disinfect kitchen areas, tools, knives and equipment.
• Follow company safety, security and hygiene policies; report any issues.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related food‑service experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk or sit for extended periods and lift objects up to 25 lb.

Required skills

• Food preparation and basic cooking techniques.
• Operation of ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
