Compliance Officer – Saudi Arabia Branch

About the role

The Trade Bank of Iraq is looking for a detail‑oriented Compliance Officer to join its Saudi Arabia Branch in Riyadh. You will ensure the branch complies with Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) regulations, AML/CFT requirements, sanctions rules and internal policies, while supporting a strong compliance culture across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor regulatory developments from SAMA and other authorities, assess impact and support implementation of new requirements.
• Maintain the regulatory obligations register and track implementation status with relevant departments.
• Prepare, review and submit regulatory reports, returns and correspondence to SAMA and other bodies.
• Execute the annual compliance monitoring and testing plan, document findings and follow up on remediation.
• Support AML/CFT and sanctions compliance, including KYC, customer due diligence, name‑screening and transaction‑monitoring alerts.
• Review and update compliance policies, procedures and internal controls.
• Provide compliance opinions on new products, services and third‑party arrangements.
• Assist in compliance risk assessments and maintain the risk register.
• Deliver compliance and AML awareness training and keep attendance records.
• Coordinate with internal/external auditors and regulatory exam teams, providing required documentation.

Required profile

• Strong analytical judgment and ability to interpret complex regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Arabic and English.
• High integrity, discretion and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced banking environment.
