Construction Director – Residential, Hotels, Arena & Stadium Projects

About the role

The Construction Director will lead all construction management activities for residential, hotel, arena and stadium packages within the Diriyah project. Reporting to the Program Director, the role ensures that construction strategy, safety, quality and schedule targets are met across multiple contractors and supervision teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and control the construction delivery process across various contractors and supervision teams, ensuring integrated execution, efficient resource utilization, and adherence to Diriyah’s construction standards and milestone targets.
• Lead and oversee all construction activities across the assigned plot/assets.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for Diriyah Company regarding construction progress and delivery.
• Ensure compliance with Diriyah’s Programme Management Plan, procedures, and quality/HSE standards.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define project scopes, budgets, timelines, and deliverables while meeting safety and regulatory requirements.
• Direct and coordinate Senior Construction Managers, Construction Managers, and Logistics teams.
• Approve and monitor project execution plans, construction methodologies, and contractor phasing strategies.
• Review monthly progress, cost, and risk reports; identify issues early and drive corrective actions.
• Report operational matters, KPIs and management reports to the Program Director and senior management.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience directing large‑scale residential, hotel, arena or stadium construction projects.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary construction and logistics teams.
• Strong track record of delivering projects on time, within budget and to quality and safety standards.
• Experience liaising with clients, program directors and senior management in a complex program environment.
• Ability to prepare and present management reports and key performance indicators.
