Consultant – Business Opportunity & Product Development

About the role

The Consultant will analyse business opportunities, define product and business requirements, and support the delivery of solutions that align with the organisation’s strategic objectives. Acting as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, the role ensures that needs are translated into scalable, value‑driven products and services within the FinTech and B2B horizontal.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct market research and opportunity assessments to identify growth areas and emerging customer needs.
• Support product lifecycle management, contribute to road‑maps, monitor performance and recommend enhancements.
• Elicit, analyse, validate and document business requirements (BRDs, user stories, process flows) ensuring traceability.
• Analyse current processes, design future‑state models and drive process optimisation initiatives.
• Collaborate with technical teams on solution design, integration requirements and API/middleware initiatives.
• Build and maintain relationships with business users, product owners and technology stakeholders, facilitating workshops and requirement‑review sessions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business analysis, product development or consultancy within FinTech or B2B environments.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate market trends and customer insights into actionable business cases.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills, capable of leading workshops and aligning cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Business requirement documentation (BRDs, user stories, process flows).
• Market research and competitive analysis.
• Process modelling (As‑Is / To‑Be).
• Understanding of API and middleware integration concepts.
