Consultant General Surgeon – Private Hospital

About the role

SearchPlus HR is recruiting an experienced Consultant General Surgeon to join a leading private hospital in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The role involves delivering comprehensive surgical care across a wide range of general surgical conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage gastrointestinal, abdominal wall and soft‑tissue disorders.
• Perform elective and emergency surgeries, including laparoscopic and minimally invasive procedures where qualified.
• Conduct pre‑operative assessments, operative care and post‑operative follow‑up.
• Manage acute surgical emergencies and post‑operative complications.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Supervise and train junior doctors and surgical staff.

Required profile

• UK CCT in General Surgery or American Board Certification in General Surgery.
• Substantial consultant‑level experience in general surgery.
• Eligibility for Consultant classification and licensing with Saudi health authorities.
• Strong clinical judgement and decision‑making skills.
