Consultant Neurosurgery – Senior Medical Specialist

About the role

The Consultant Neurosurgery provides high‑quality inpatient and outpatient care, ensuring compliance with Saudi Ministry of Health regulations, CBAHI/JCI standards, and hospital bylaws. This senior medical position leads the neurosurgery department, driving performance improvement and delivering compassionate patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive neurosurgical care for in‑patients and out‑patients within granted clinical privileges.
• Conduct regular multidisciplinary ward rounds, develop pre‑operative and post‑operative plans, and perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Participate in on‑call rotations, respond to emergencies, and coordinate referrals to appropriate facilities.
• Maintain accurate, timely medical records while upholding patient confidentiality and privacy.
• Lead junior staff, supervise clinical activities, and contribute to departmental quality improvement initiatives.
• Engage in Continuing Medical Education, national and international conferences, and internal training programs.

Required profile

• Board‑certified neurosurgeon with full clinical privileges.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in a hospital setting.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi health regulations, CBAHI/JCI standards, and quality improvement processes.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and education.
