Contracts Manager

About the role

The Contracts Manager will oversee all contract‑related activities for a rail construction project, ensuring compliance, managing negotiations and supporting construction supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Administer all project contracts, ensuring legal, financial and corporate compliance.
• Lead complex contract negotiations with clients, contractors and stakeholders.
• Identify and mitigate contractual risks, providing advice on opportunities.
• Prepare regular progress reports highlighting risks and opportunities.
• Coordinate claims response in partnership with the Claims Manager.
• Provide technical data to the Contract Administration Senior Manager and deliver contractual presentations.
• Drive contractual progress meetings to ensure obligations are met.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, business administration or related field; master’s preferred.
• Professional certification such as CPCM or equivalent is highly desirable.
• Minimum 12 years of contract management experience in construction or infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of contract law, construction contracts and industry standards; familiarity with FIDIC contracts a plus.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Prior experience on rail or transportation projects is advantageous.
