Cost Accountant

About the role

Pladis, a global biscuits and confectionery business, is looking for a Cost Accountant for its Jeddah factory. The role supports manufacturing cost analysis, budget monitoring and working capital tracking, and works closely with Manufacturing, Procurement, Supply Chain and Finance teams.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse manufacturing conversion cost, purchase price variance and inventory cost variance.
• Analyse material, labour, overhead and absorption variances.
• Support the S&OP process through cost, inventory and financial analysis.
• Monitor and report CAPEX and OPEX performance against budget, forecast and prior year.
• Track and optimise working capital metrics, including DIO, DPO and inventory aging.
• Maintain accurate standard costing, inventory valuation and month-end cost accounting.
• Prepare ROI analyses and business cases for capital investment and cost-saving initiatives.
• Prepare management reports, dashboards and KPI analysis using Power BI.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Procurement, Supply Chain and Finance teams to drive cost efficiency and financial control.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in accounting.
• 4-8 years of cost accounting or supply chain finance experience.
• Experience in international manufacturing FMCG is a must.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of SAP or Oracle ERP systems.
• Power BI is essential.
