Cost Control Manager

About the role

The Cost Control Manager is responsible for safeguarding the financial health of construction projects. You will develop, monitor, and manage budgets, providing accurate cost estimates and ensuring expenditures stay within approved limits.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed project and departmental budgets aligned with organizational financial goals.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates, incorporating all potential expenses and risks.
• Continuously monitor and track project expenditures, comparing actual costs against budgeted amounts.
• Analyze cost variances, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Generate comprehensive financial reports for senior management and stakeholders.
• Implement and maintain robust cost control systems and procedures.
• Identify financial risks and devise mitigation strategies to prevent cost overruns.
• Review and manage contracts to ensure compliance with financial terms.
• Collaborate with project managers, finance teams, and other stakeholders on financial matters.
• Support HSE initiatives and contribute to safety awareness activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in a managerial position.
• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering; accounting or finance background is preferred.
• Experience in the GCC region is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with cost control systems and procedures.
• Strong budget management and financial reporting capabilities.
• Ability to analyze cost variances and implement corrective actions.
