Data Modeler

About the role

The Data Modeler will translate business needs into robust, long‑term data solutions. You will work closely with development teams to design conceptual and physical data models that support our growing data ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and translate business requirements into comprehensive data models.
• Evaluate existing data systems and identify improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with developers to create conceptual data models and data flow diagrams.
• Develop best practices for data coding to ensure consistency.
• Review system modifications for cross‑compatibility.
• Implement data strategies and build physical data models.
• Update and optimise local and metadata models.
• Assess implemented data systems for variances, discrepancies, and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and optimise data systems as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• Expert knowledge of metadata management and related tools.
• Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
• Advanced SQL scripting skills.
• Solid understanding of mathematical foundations and statistical analysis.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation abilities.
• Experience in team management.
