Database Engineer – On‑site DBA Support

About the role

The company is looking for an on‑site Database Engineer to ensure its databases are highly available, performant and secure. You will manage deployments, backups, recovery procedures and provide support to development teams.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain MySQL, PostgreSQL and SQL Server databases.
• Work with Azure SQL and Google Cloud CloudSQL services.
• Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks and optimise queries.
• Implement and manage backup and recovery procedures.
• Troubleshoot database issues and deliver timely resolutions.
• Apply and maintain database security best practices.
• Provide database‑related support to development teams.

Required profile

• At least 1 month of relevant experience (junior level).
• Strong knowledge of SQL and database performance tuning.
• Experience with backup, recovery and security best practices.
• Problem‑solving and troubleshooting abilities.
