Direct Investment Analyst

About the role

The Direct Investment Analyst will support SRH’s investment strategy by monitoring and evaluating the performance of its portfolio companies. The role focuses on delivering strategic guidance, identifying operational efficiencies, and tracking commercial value creation. You will also help coordinate monetisation events such as IPOs, M&As and other exit opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in reviewing, assessing and monitoring day‑to‑day performance, profitability and operational efficiency of portfolio subsidiaries.
• Provide research, data analysis and financial modelling to develop strategic recommendations on market positioning, growth opportunities and cost‑saving initiatives.
• Communicate SRH’s investment philosophy and performance expectations to portfolio company management teams.
• Support integration of new technologies, process optimisation and change‑management initiatives within subsidiaries.
• Collaborate with SRH advisory directors and portfolio leadership to identify and execute value‑realisation events (IPOs, M&As, divestments).
• Prepare strategic insights and recommendations for monetisation events and track progress for senior management.
• Compile investment performance reports and conduct detailed analyses of portfolio trends, risks and opportunities.

Required profile

• 0‑3 years of experience in investments, portfolio management or related financial fields.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or a related discipline; CFA or other investment certifications are a plus.
• Strong analytical mindset and effective communication skills.
