Director - Cultural Programming & Experience

About the role

The Director of Cultural Programming & Experience will lead the planning, curation, and delivery of the destination’s cultural agenda. This senior position owns the programming calendar, creates compelling content, designs visitor journeys, and manages exhibits to ensure a high‑quality, authentic experience year‑round and during festivals.

Key responsibilities

• Own the annual, seasonal and festival programming calendar, balancing relevance, operational feasibility and audience demand.
• Develop narrative‑driven content and written materials that enhance cultural authenticity and drive attendance.
• Design and oversee the end‑to‑end visitor journey across all programming touchpoints, ensuring coherence and engagement.
• Lead exhibit design, activation and ongoing management to meet quality and operational standards.
• Manage external relationships with cultural partners, institutions and contributors to secure credible programming.
• Coordinate with Operations, Facilities, Marketing, Commercial and other internal teams to integrate programming requirements into site readiness and communications.

Required profile

• Proven leadership in cultural programming and experience design.
• Ability to build and maintain a year‑round and seasonal programming calendar.
• Strong storytelling, content development and narrative curation skills.
