Director, Financial Markets Advisory – Middle East

About the role

BlackRock’s Financial Markets Advisory (FMA) team is seeking a Director to lead and expand its advisory business across the Middle East. The role combines strategic insight with hands‑on execution, guiding sovereign wealth funds, central banks, and other institutional clients through complex capital‑markets and transaction challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Shape FMA’s regional strategy by identifying growth priorities, emerging themes, and partnership opportunities.
• Independently lead end‑to‑end advisory engagements, from scoping and design through analysis, recommendation, implementation support and final delivery.
• Own project outcomes, ensuring quality, timeliness, commercial discipline, client satisfaction and effective risk management.
• Translate broad client questions into structured workstreams, analytical requirements and governance frameworks.
• Act as the principal day‑to‑day adviser to senior stakeholders, leading executive discussions and communicating complex financial concepts.
• Mobilise expertise across BlackRock’s Capital Markets, Aladdin, Research and other businesses to deliver integrated solutions.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in financial markets advisory and transaction execution across multiple asset classes or financing structures.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage senior‑level client relationships.
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of developing new business opportunities.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, capable of turning ambiguous client needs into actionable solutions.

Required skills

• Familiarity with BlackRock’s Aladdin platform.
