Director Governance and Mega Projects

About the role

Mobily is seeking a senior leader to oversee governance and the delivery of large‑scale commercial projects across the organization. Reporting to executive management, the Director will align marketing, commercial transformation and regulatory initiatives with the company’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, own and manage marketing commercial plans and seasonal themes (New Year, Ramadan, summer) while coordinating the internal PMO for marketing.
• Lead company‑wide cross‑functional projects, acting as the Marketing SPOC for initiatives such as VAT, CPR and TOS.
• Oversee automation of periodic reports and build management dashboards for rapid insight delivery.
• Define short‑term and long‑term commercial transformation strategies and execution plans.
• Establish and enforce marketing policies, processes and compliance standards.
• Drive projects required for legal, regulatory and financial compliance.
• Prioritize internal and external process development and training needs for the marketing department.
• Manage support functions and serve as the liaison between marketing and Internal Audit, HR, risk management, corporate PMO and other departments.
• Lead selection of new technologies and systems in partnership with admin, technology and procurement.
• Supervise HR activities including hiring, title changes, outsourcing and employee engagement.
• Define and approve commercial requirements for mega projects in alignment with stakeholders.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by executive management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or equivalent from an accredited university.
• Proven experience in strategic and operational planning, project management and budgeting within telecommunications or ICT.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage direct reports.
• Strong commercial and technical acumen in telecom/ICT environments.
