Director of Finance & Accounting

About the role

The Director of Finance & Accounting will act as the strategic financial leader for the property, shaping and executing financial strategies that support the brand’s service objectives and drive profitable growth. Reporting to senior management, this role ensures robust financial planning, risk management, and operational controls across all accounting functions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of the annual operating budget and long‑term financial plan.
• Analyse sales, expenses and wage forecasts to identify cost‑saving and productivity opportunities.
• Provide ongoing analytical support, monitoring actual versus projected performance and delivering accurate forecasts.
• Establish and maintain strong accounting and operational controls to safeguard assets and improve profitability.
• Interpret market trends and financial data to advise senior leadership on strategic decisions.
• Lead, mentor and motivate the finance and accounting team, promoting sound decision‑making and integrity.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field with at least 2 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with no experience required.
• Proven ability to develop and execute financial strategies in a property or hospitality environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience in budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
