Director of Project Controls

About the role

The Director of Project Controls leads the strategic planning, development, and execution of project control functions across multiple initiatives. Reporting to senior leadership, this role ensures projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget while maintaining high quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement comprehensive project control strategies aligned with organizational goals.
• Lead a team of project control professionals, establishing standards for performance measurement, reporting, and cost control.
• Collaborate with project managers to set baseline budgets, schedules, and resource plans.
• Monitor project progress, providing insights and recommendations to optimize cost and schedule performance.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation plans throughout the project lifecycle.
• Drive the creation and improvement of tools and processes that enhance efficiency.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in project controls or project management, with proven leadership experience.
• Deep knowledge of Earned Value Management, forecasting, budgeting, and risk management.
• Experience managing large‑scale construction, engineering, or infrastructure projects.
• Strong financial analysis and reporting capabilities.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
