Director of Shared Services

About the role

The Director of Shared Services will shape and lead an integrated shared‑services model that supports the organization’s strategic goals. Reporting to the executive team, you will drive efficiency, improve service quality, and foster a customer‑centric culture across all business units.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for shared services aligned with corporate objectives.
• Oversee planning, design, and delivery of shared‑services initiatives, ensuring operational excellence and best‑practice adherence.
• Establish performance‑measurement frameworks and monitor service level agreements (SLAs).
• Promote continuous improvement through process optimisation and innovative service models.
• Lead change‑management programmes to embed shared services throughout the organization.
• Collaborate closely with department heads to align services with functional needs.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience managing shared services or comparable operational environments, with progressive responsibility.
• Proven record of designing and implementing strategies that enhance service delivery and reduce costs.
• Extensive experience leading cross‑functional teams and driving collaboration.
• Strong financial management expertise, including budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
• Ability to analyse complex data sets and translate insights into actionable improvements.
• Expertise in change‑management processes and navigating organisational transformation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑influence skills.
• Knowledge of performance‑management systems and regulatory compliance relevant to shared services.
