About the role

The Director of Special Projects leads high‑impact initiatives that support the organization’s long‑term strategy. Reporting to senior leadership, this role collaborates across departments to identify, plan, and launch projects that improve efficiency, drive revenue, and embed a culture of continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, scope, and prioritize special projects aligned with strategic goals.
• Develop detailed project plans, including objectives, timelines, resources, and KPIs.
• Facilitate regular project meetings and keep cross‑functional teams informed.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing updates throughout the project lifecycle.
• Utilize project‑management software to monitor progress, budgets, and risks, adjusting strategies as needed.
• Ensure timely delivery of projects within budgetary constraints.

Required profile

• 10+ years of progressive experience in project management or program development.
• Proven track record of leading cross‑functional teams in fast‑paced environments.
• Strong analytical ability and data‑driven decision‑making.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
• Experience with risk management and mitigation planning.
• Adaptability to dynamic priorities and a commitment to professional development.

Required skills

• Proficiency with project‑management tools and software for budgeting, forecasting, and data analysis.
• Knowledge of grant management or funding processes (preferred).
