Drilling Rig Foreman (Saudi Arabia)

About the role

Eram Talent is looking for a Drilling Rig Foreman to join its Unconventional Resources Drilling Department. The foreman supervises field operations of land drilling and workover rigs working on deep or critical wells, acting as the main liaison between the company and the contractor. The rig covers wells of 18,000 to 23,000 feet.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and oversee all drilling and workover operations and ensure the contractor meets all contract obligations.
• Ensure rig personnel and service providers comply with Saudi Aramco safety standards, including blowout prevention standards (equipment configuration, testing and crew response).
• Coordinate delivery of well materials and equipment so they are available when needed.
• Make recommendations on alternative methods or equipment when unusual situations arise.
• Work with drilling and workover engineers to follow modern drilling practices.
• Approve the contractor's daily tour report and ensure rig and equipment are properly maintained to avoid downtime.
• Perform other duties as directed by the superintendent.

Required profile

• At least 7 years of experience in drilling and workover operations, including supervisory experience on a drilling or workover rig.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field preferred.
• Willingness to work in remote locations and harsh weather conditions.

Required skills

• Extensive knowledge of drilling equipment, techniques and safety measures.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions.
