Early Career Sales Specialist Trainee – GIS

About the role

GE Vernova is hiring an Early Career Sales Specialist Trainee for its Gas Insulated Substations (GIS) sales team in Saudi Arabia, within the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region. This is an entry-level position for a high-potential engineering graduate, focused on order intake, margin and cash for GIS in KSA. The trainee supports the regional sales team in driving growth across transmission and industry segments, is mentored in commercial strategy, customer relationships and technical expertise, and aims to manage their own portfolio of opportunities after 12-18 months.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in early-stage project detection and monitor the FEED (Front End Engineering Design) stage of potential projects.
• Support the senior sales team in preparing quotations, organizing tender documentation and tracking progress.
• Help build value propositions and compile product qualification/homologation documents and techno-commercial offers under the guidance of the Product Line tendering team.
• Accompany senior team members to customer meetings to learn customer intimacy, relationship building and contract clarification.
• Carry out basic market assessment and competitor analysis to help define Commercial Action Plans.
• Assist in the hand-over between Sales and Project Execution teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Electromechanical, Mechatronics, Power Systems or Communication Engineering, or a related field.
• Fresh graduates with up to 2 years of experience.
• Native Arabic speaker; high proficiency in English.
• Legal right to work in KSA without company sponsorship or time restriction.
• Ability to travel within KSA and the MEA region when necessary.
• Desired: strong academic record, interest in the energy/power sector, excellent written and verbal communication, analytical skills, presentation skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
