Environmental Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Environmental Manager to join our Site Supervision Consultancy team overseeing major building and hospitality developments in Riyadh. The role ensures compliance with Saudi environmental regulations, client standards, and international best practices throughout all project phases.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain the project’s Environmental Management Plan (EMP) in line with regulations and client requirements.
• Monitor contractor compliance, conduct site inspections, audits and environmental assessments.
• Review and approve contractors’ environmental method statements, risk assessments and control measures.
• Manage waste, air quality, dust, noise, water, hazardous materials and pollution prevention programmes.
• Lead investigations of environmental incidents, complaints and non‑conformances, and drive corrective actions.
• Coordinate with government authorities, prepare performance and audit reports, and ensure timely permitting compliance.
• Promote environmental awareness, sustainability initiatives and resource‑conservation programmes across the project team.
• Support green building, sustainability goals and environmental certification requirements.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in large‑scale construction projects, especially building, convention centre and hospitality developments.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi environmental legislation, municipal regulations and permit requirements.
• Proven ability to lead environmental management systems, audits and risk assessments.
• Excellent communication skills to advise contractors, stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
