Estimation & Design Engineer – Fire Protection Systems

About the role

NAFFCO is looking for a qualified Estimation & Design Engineer specialized in fire protection systems to join its Jeddah team. You will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, designing fire protection solutions, and supporting sales and project teams throughout tendering and execution phases.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimations and technical proposals for fire protection systems, including firefighting and fire alarm solutions.
• Review tender documents, BOQs, drawings, and specifications to generate precise project estimates.
• Design sprinkler, fire pump, hydrant, hose reel, foam, and fire alarm systems.
• Perform hydraulic calculations and develop system layouts in line with international and local standards.
• Coordinate with sales, procurement, and project teams during tendering and execution.
• Conduct technical clarifications, value engineering, and ensure compliance with NFPA, UL, FM, and Saudi Civil Defense requirements.
• Prepare technical submittals, material take‑offs, and system calculations.
• Provide technical guidance to project teams during installation and commissioning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in estimation and design of fire protection systems.
• Strong knowledge of fire protection standards and codes.
• Experience with tendering, estimation, and system design on large commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
• Ability to manage multiple tenders and meet tight deadlines.
