ETL Engineer – Build & Maintain Data Pipelines

About the role

ExeQut is seeking an ETL Engineer to design, develop, and operate data pipelines that power our analytics and data platform. You will own the end‑to‑end ETL lifecycle, from extraction strategy through transformation, monitoring, and optimisation, while collaborating directly with business teams and international clients.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, optimise and maintain full‑cycle ETL workflows.
• Define extraction strategies, cleansing rules and transformation logic based on business requirements.
• Write complex SQL queries for data analysis and performance tuning.
• Build automated ETL jobs using Python, Java and Shell scripting.
• Contribute to Hive‑based data‑warehouse design (ODS, DWD, DWS, ADS) and optimise storage structures.
• Integrate and maintain Hadoop, Spark, Kafka and related big‑data technologies within pipelines.
• Monitor jobs, configure alerts, troubleshoot failures and resolve latency or consistency issues.
• Establish and continuously improve ETL operations standards.
• Partner with business teams for requirement analysis, solution design, data validation and quality initiatives.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of hands‑on ETL or data‑engineering experience.
• Strong SQL skills, including complex queries and optimisation.
• Professional English communication – written documentation and client presentations.
• Willingness to be based in or relocate to Saudi Arabia.
