Facade Structural Engineer – Aluminum & Glazing

About the role

We are seeking a Facade Structural Engineer with 3–5 years of experience in aluminum and glazing systems to join our construction team. The role involves designing safe, cost‑effective façade solutions and ensuring compliance with project specifications and codes.

Key responsibilities

• Design and analyse typical and non‑typical aluminum and glazing façade systems.
• Develop optimum, safe and cost‑effective solutions for project proposals.
• Prepare structural calculations using analysis software for glass, bolts and other components.
• Select and verify appropriate aluminium profiles, glass types, brackets, anchors and fasteners.
• Review shop drawings to ensure alignment with approved structural designs.
• Coordinate with consultants, project teams and ensure compliance with international and local building codes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience in façade engineering, specifically aluminium and glazing systems.
• Strong knowledge of curtain‑wall, unitised/stick systems and façade connections.
• Familiarity with ASTM, BS, EN, ASCE, AAMA standards or local building codes.

Required skills

• STAAD.Pro, SAP2000 or ETABS for structural analysis.
• AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit/BIM is an advantage.
• Understanding of aluminium framing, glass specifications and façade connections.
