Family Medicine & Palliative Medicine Consultant

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Consultant in Family Medicine and Palliative Medicine to join Fakeeh Health Care. The role involves delivering comprehensive clinical care to in‑patients and out‑patients, ensuring high‑quality, evidence‑based treatment and coordination of discharge planning.

Key responsibilities

• Perform clinical duties within assigned privileges, including thorough clinical, socioeconomic, psychological and functional patient assessments.
• Develop, document and implement evidence‑based care plans, and act as the Most Responsible Physician (MRP) for admitted patients.
• Conduct daily inpatient assessments, write progress notes using SOAP format, and ensure timely documentation of interventions.
• Prepare and authenticate discharge summaries, provide discharge instructions and medication education.
• Respond to departmental calls, attend staff meetings and contribute to efficiency and patient‑satisfaction initiatives.
• Write medical reports in Fakeeh format, participate in teaching rounds and educate patients and families.
• Uphold Fakeeh Care standards, confidentiality, safety protocols and continuous improvement requirements.

Required profile

• Clear communication skills with patients, families, physicians and non‑medical staff.
• Proficiency with Microsoft computer applications.
• Strong organizational abilities and adherence to professional conduct and ethical standards.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) proficiency.
