Field Compliance Coordinator - Gas Plants Environment

About the role

Eram Talent, a talent acquisition consultancy for the oil and gas sector, is recruiting a Field Compliance Coordinator for a client in Dhahran. The role ensures compliance with safety and environmental regulations in gas plant operations, working with field teams, contractors and management to assess risks, monitor compliance and put in place effective safety measures.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain full environmental compliance with Saudi Aramco requirements (SAEP, SAES, GIs) and other government regulations.
• Implement waste management plans for hazardous, non-hazardous and special wastes, covering minimisation, segregation, storage, transport and disposal with contractors and vendors.
• Conduct E&OH field audits and inspections, and organise and review air emissions monitoring, wastewater sampling and soil assessments, tracking corrective actions to closure.
• Lead initial environmental spill response coordination, reporting and root cause analysis, and maintain site-specific spill prevention controls.
• Inspect contractor facilities and track corrective action close-outs in environmental tracking systems.
• Promote proactive environmental management through inductions, toolbox talks and awareness campaigns.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly environmental performance reports and keep the site's EMS up to date in line with ISO 14001.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, HSE, science, industrial or a related field; a Master's or PhD is preferable.
• 10-15 years of experience in environmental operations in the oil and gas industry, with at least 7 years in oil and gas.
• Preferred certifications: ISO 14001:2015 Lead Auditor, NEBOSH Environmental Certificate and hazardous waste management certification.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and environmental impact assessments.
• Knowledge of environmental laws and regulations.
• Attention to detail, leadership and multitasking skills.
• Familiarity with time reporting and project control.
